NFL Predictions 2010-2011
Divisional Standings:
AFC East: Jets, Dolphins, Patriots, Bills
AFC North: Ravens, Bengals, Steelers, Browns
AFC South: Colts, Titans, Texans, Jaguars
AFC West: Chiefs, Chargers, Raiders, Broncos
NFC East: Cowboys, Giants, Eagles, Redskins
NFC North: Packers, Vikings, Lions, Bears
NFC South: Saints, Falcons, Panthers, Bucs
NFC West: 49ers, Seahawks, Cardinals, Rams
Some Thoughts:
I think this is finally the year that we see the Patriots and Steelers show a serious drop off. The Chargers will miss the playoffs for the first time in a while as they battle the Chiefs into the final week to see who makes it at 9-7. The Texans will flirt with the playoffs early but collapse in the last three weeks. The Jets will go into their bye at 2-4 but recover to end 11-5 and win the division over the Dolphins. McNabb leaving the Eagles for the Redskins leaves both teams in disarray as they struggle to both get above six wins. The Cowboys will be the last undefeated team. The strongest division ends up being the NFC North with the Lions finishing 8-8 in 3rd place. The 49ers make the playoffs with a losing record as the division champion.
Playoff Predictions:
AFC Wildcards: Dolphins, Bengals
NFC Wildcards: Giants, Vikings
AFC Champion: Colts over the Jets
NFC Champion: Packers over the Cowboys
Superbowl XLV Champion: Green Bay Packers
Season Awards:
MVP Voting: Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees
Defensive Player of the Year: Darelle Revis, Patrick Willis, Clay Matthews
Offensive Player of the Year: Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, Ray Rice
Offensive Rookie of the Year: Jahvid Best, Ryan Mathews, Sam Bradford
Defensive Rookie of the Year: Ndamukong Suh, Rolando McClain, Earl Thomas
Comeback Player of the Year: Wes Welker. Nobody else stands a chance.
As always, the Jets should naturally take the AFC and win the SuperBowl but I will refrain from picking that out of jinxing fear.
Starting a new photoblog doing a series of 33 photos of San Francisco over the next 33 days. I just uploaded my first pic of the Broadway Tunnel to my tumblr, http://joeyparsons.tumblr.com.
Why attempt a series of posts? I’ve taken 2712 photos since I moved to SF in December and have only posted 3. Getting my workflow going again in Aperture will–hopefully–ultimately lead to me going back through that backlog and posting some cool photos over the next 33 days in the process.
Why 33 days? Who knows. Just seems like a clean, nice number.
So, make sure to follow me on tumblr at http://joeyparsons.tumblr.com!
As of today, I’ve got roughly 25 days left in Austin. It’s been a great three-and-a-half years and I will undoubtedly be sad leaving (but will be doing my best to come back to SXSWi!) I decided to come up with a list of must-dos before I go. I left obvious things we do normally like running Town Lake and avoiding 6th street off of the list.
Here goes:
- Shoot sunset shots at the following: Pennybacker Bridge, Mount Bonnell, Capitol Building, top of the hill at Butler Park, and the Lamar Foot Bridge
- Shoot as much of the new downtown landscape as possible. Hurry up and finish the top of the Austonian.
- Book People!
- Take Morgan on walks at the Barton Creek Greenbelt and Emma Long Park
- Alamo Draft House!
- Enjoy having a backyard–or a yard, for that matter.
- Eat at: Home Slice, Freddies, Huts, Galaxy Cafe, Nueva Onda, P. Terry’s, Trulucks, Kyoto
- Spend an afternoon on South Congress. Grab Austin t-shirts at Parts and Labour. Check out fun stuff at Monkey See, Monkey Do.
- Eat lunch at Auditorium Shores. Let Morgan swim if it’s not too cold!
Here are some of my favorite photos I’ve taken recently. As always, you can see more at http://365saw.com/
